A leisurely stroll on the beach shouldn’t turn into a beach cleanup but, it did because I can’t just walk on by and leave it. Plastics don’t belong tossed in the sand.
Dear beach goers, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if you take it to the beach with you, take it home with you. It’s just like being on a trail in the mountains; “pack it in, pack it out.” Those plastic bottles left on the beach get washed out to sea, which endangers our marine life. Did you hear about the whale in Thailand that died this week because it was full of plastics? Many of us that live on the Gulf Coast frequently see dolphins playing in the water near the shore. I don’t want to imagine what it would be like to go to the beach and not see the dolphins swimming in the sea because we’ve polluted the ocean so much they are dying.
Please pack all of your trash up when leaving the beach. Not only to help keep our beaches beautiful but to help protect the beautiful marine life that lives in the sea. It’s our responsibility to do our part to keep them safe.
